My debut album to be released July 1

On July 1st I'll be releasing my debut album PLAY IT OVER AND START AGAIN featuring the singles "The Murder" and "Bedridden (Move Forward)"

There's a recurring theme on the record that involves moving on and appreciating a time of darkness as a learning experience.

Featuring twelve soft melancholic and ambient tracks, PLAY IT OVER... is an album I wrote and poured my emotions into.

The album will be released physically (via Amazon) and digitally (through Bandcamp)

Pre-order now and receive the three tracks "Bedridden (Move Forward)", "The Murder" and the third single "Left this World"

01 - Playing it Over
02 - Bedridden (Move Forward)
03 - No Matter What
04 - Our Own Gods
05 - Here For you
06 - Interlude
07 - Say Goodnight
08 - Good Times
09 - The Murder
10 - You're Free

Mike Portnoy referenced in Dream Theater's "The Looking Glass"?

Studying the lyrics of "The Looking Glass", track 3 on Dream Theater's latest album "DREAM THEATER" I began to wonder if the lyrics focus on those who use social media and the internet to make sure people continue to know of their presence. More significantly, was Petrucci thinking of former drummer Mike Portnoy?

I would not expect you felt unnoticed and ignored
Better to rise above the clouds (Black Clouds was the last DT album Portnoy appeared on)
Than be a stranger in the crowd

All that you protected doesn't matter anymore
Rather be stripped of all your pride
Than watch your dreams be cast aside (Portnoy stated that he had other dreams to pursue, perhaps he cast “Dream Theater” aside?)

You are caught up in your gravity
Glorifying stardom
Singing your own praise

You live without shame
You're digging up a gold mine
Standing on the sidelines
Watching through the looking glass

You are not content with being nameless and unknown (Attempts to stay in th…

The Saab 99 Restoration Begins!

So the other day I was kindly gifted a Saab 99 by a Saab club member and friend. This 1973 Toreador red was last on the road in 2012 according to the registration sticker on the back window and was one of three rescued from Yarraman in Queensland (about 250km away from my place) So far it's not running, but an ignition coil and condenser should fix that. Then to do an oil and filter change as it's probably like tar. Despite the insanely wet weather here, I've been washing the car and polishing her up and bringing that red to life. The windscreen needed resealing so she suffered a little bit of water in the front but nothing too major.
I'll keep you all posted.

Work almost complete on my first work of fiction - based on the Cursed Legacy rock opera.

I've written a few books in my time - CMD You Computer and C is for C Programming, both of which feature in American and Australian universities and colleges. But now I've taken a different path and written a work of fiction.

I expect the book to be available before June 2016 as an eBook and soft-cover.

Based around the storyline for my rock opera Cursed Legacy will put out in the next year, I present to you, Lunar Incarceration:

In 1969, man first landed on the moon. It was seen by millions across the globe and marked a new stage in man's quest for exploration and adventure.
In 2069 -- Almost a century to the day later -- a combination of space agencies from the United States, United Kingdom and the Soviet Union signed an agreement to fund and develop an industrial base on Earth's moon. To tackle the budget cuts and the extremity of their investments, the countries agreed that labour would be carried out by a combination of professional space workers and those they cou…
